Summary Statement

This seasonal marketing position with the Delaware State Parks will be responsible for development and implementation of campaigns to promote Delaware State Parks products and services statewide through print, web, radio and social media. This position will work no more than 29.75 hours per week.

Essential Functions

  • Provides Marketing assistance with promotional needs to promote awareness of Delaware State Parks camping activities and other recreational services.
  • Provides support to the Marketing Department for expos and special events.
  • Seeks marketing partnerships and opportunities for Delaware State Parks.
  • Writes content for media outlets.
  • Coordinates ad placements.
  • Helps to drive online traffic with web-related campaigns.
  • Conducts marketing surveys.
  • Coordinates and participates in special events and expos in- and out-of-state.
  • Maintains and reports on hours of service and other records as required.
  • Assists in special events coordination and set-up.
  • Performs other related work as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Marketing Assistant

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following area:

  1. Six months experience in developing marketing strategies or campaigns to promote a product or service.
  2. Six months experience in analyzing and evaluating marketing data.
  3. Six months experience with working trade shows or special events to promote a product or service.
  4. Six months experience with writing content for marketing media.
  5. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

Conditions of Hire
