Summary Statement

This position will assist the Recreational License Program by performing clerical duties related to processing license applications, fulfillment, auditing and filing, and by assisting with customer service for the licensing agents and the general public as needed. Duties will include but not limited to sorting incoming mail, verifying, processing, filing and maintaining duplicate license requests, completing the daily decal fulfillment packaging for boat fishing licenses required by DE law; auditing licenses, decals, waterfowl prints, waterfowl and trout stamps for inventory and destructions.

Essential Functions

  • Provides clerical assistance to the Division’s Recreational License Program staff.
  • Applies agency laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures in maintaining and processing agency information.
  • Provide general customer service and licensing and permitting information to general public in hunting, trapping, fishing, and Charter/Head boat licensing in accordance with state law and all applicable current regulations.
  • Maintains and controls data and/or filing systems to ensure effective, accurate and easily retrievable documentation of operations, program and project activities.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Six months experience in customer service.
  3. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
