The selected candidate for this position will serve as a Hauling Permit Agent in the Traffic Safety Section. Job duties include the daily review and approval of permits for oversized/overweight vehicles in accordance with state and federal regulations, coordination with other Department sections including Bridge Management, Traffic Signal Maintenance and Pavement Management for the review of permits to ensure safe passage over state roadways. Duties also include periodic reporting of permitting processes and addressing customer questions via phone and email.
