Summary Statement

The incumbent in this position assists the therapist(s) in developing plans and conducting evaluations for the residents of Stockley Center in the areas of Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT) and Speech Therapy (ST).  The incumbent will also assist in plan implementation and monitoring, and education of staff who work with the residents.

Essential Functions

  • Provides support in planning, implementing and administering activities and providing instruction.
      
  • Assists therapist in developing treatment plans and conducting evaluations.
      
  • Confers with therapist and others to discuss and evaluate individual's information for planning, modifying or coordinating treatment.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Therapy Assistant
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Knowledge of therapy practices.
  2. Knowledge of record keeping. 
  3. Possession of Registered Delaware Physical Therapy Assistant or eligible for registration.

Conditions of Hire

Pre-employment Drug Testing:  Upon a conditional offer, you must undergo pre-employment drug testing as part of the hiring process.

Criminal background check:  A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire.  The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
