Summary Statement
Essential Functions

- Lead public and group kayak tours as a guide.
- Operate kayak rental facility.
- Assist with maintenance of kayak rentals, including money handling and paperwork.
- Serve as liaison with the public, clients, staff and others to exchange information and explain services, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude and have fun.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Seasonal Kayak Guide

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Six months experience kayaking and/or canoeing.
- Six months customer service experience.
Conditions of Hire

Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
