Summary Statement

The position will work closely with a team supporting all facets of retail operations, online sales and a statewide Point of Sale (POS) application.  The focus will be on monitoring financial records, training, technological enhancements, merchandising factors and buying patterns to capitalize on market opportunities within these programs.

Essential Functions

  • Conducts relevant analysis on purchasing, inventory, buying patterns and other data needed to target marketing efforts.
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Assists the Retail Coordinator with vendor relations, ordering merchandise, data entry, tracking relevant revenue and expenses.
  • Works with the Retail Coordinator in ordering, vendor relations, data entry and tracking relevant revenue and expenses.  
  • Assists in updating material for annual staff training on the revenue management system (Point of Sale, reservation and ticketing system).
  • Assists in training seasonal staff on the POS, reservation system and ticketing.
  • Monitors online sale of permits and passes including fulfillment, customer relations, and responding to transaction discrepancies. 
  • Responsible for handling all aspects of the Permit Agent program including; statewide distribution of supplies and materials, processing payments and data entry when needed. 
  • Maintains and reports on hours of service and other records as required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Six months experience in narrative report writing.
  2. Six months experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
  3. Six months experience in analyzing and evaluating data.
  4. Knowledge of natural, cultural, and historical resources.
  5. Knowledge of marketing concepts and promotional campaigns as it relates to retail merchandising and online sales.
  6. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
