Summary Statement

The seasonal Revenue Attendant position is responsible for welcoming park visitors, disseminating information and collecting and accounting for park entrance fees.  Duties may vary for each facility.  Work is performed indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions.  Applicants must be available to work weekends, evenings and holidays as scheduled and may be required to work at other state park facilities as needed.

Essential Functions

Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all position in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class.  Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.
  • Collecting appropriate fee and accountability for handling of money.
  • Maintain daily attendance records and cash collection receipts. 
  • Provide general customer service and park information to visitors. 
  • Must be dependable and have good communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and have fun.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Fee Collector (Revenue Attendant)

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas.

  1. At least 17 years of age.
  2. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving)
  3. Knowledge of working with money and making change.
  4. Knowledge of math such as addition and subtraction.

Conditions of Hire

Selection Process
