There is an immediate full-time vacancy for this position currently located within the General Services Agency. While there are immediate vacancies for these positions, the eligible list resulting from this recruitment and selection process may be utilized for other future vacancies which may arise within the next year for these and other Alameda County departments and agencies.

THE POSITION
Under general supervision, Information System Specialists assist in planning, configuring, installing, troubleshooting and supporting agency/departmental Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs) and other computer systems and related equipment; provide consultation to departmental support staff and management on hardware and software issues; and perform related duties as required.

The equivalent of one year of full-time experience in developing and maintaining information technology systems including LAN/WAN systems.
