THIS IS A NEW ASSEMBLED EXAMINATION. The eligible list resulting from this examination will cancel any existing list and may last approximately one year, but can be extended. THE POSITION
The Early, Periodic, Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment(EPSDT) Coordinator for the Behavioral Health Care Services Agency provides leadership in developing, planning, organizing and directing the activities associated with the growth of children’s mental health services provided under the Early, Periodic, Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) benefit and serves in a leadership role to Behavioral Health Care Services (BHCS) and County management in the formulation of goals and strategic planning of children’s mental health services. EPSDT Coordinator provides leadership to the Clinical Quality Review Team for new providers and ensures services are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
This single position classification has responsibility for a county-wide system expansion of specialty mental health services and has financial and administrative oversight of children’s mental health services affected by EPSDT benefits.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
In addition to the minimum qualifications the ideal candidate will possess strong programmatic knowledge and experience providing operational and policy analysis of sustainable mental health services for children and youth under the EPSDT benefit.

THE EXAMINATION WILL CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING STEPS: 1) A review of candidates' applications to verify possession of minimum requirements. Those candidates who possess the minimum requirements for the class will move on to the next step in the examination process; 2) A review of candidates’ Supplemental Questionnaires to select the best qualified applicants to continue in the process; 3) An oral interview which will be weighted as 100% of the candidate's final examination score. The oral interview may contain situational exercises.
