THIS IS A NEW ASSEMBLED EXAMINATION. The eligible list resulting from this examination will cancel any existing list and may last approximately one year, but can be extended.
Applications must be in the possession of the Human Resource Services Department by 5:00 p.m. on the Last Day for Filing. Postmarks are not accepted. Applications will only be accepted on-line.
Please note that you MUST include your CA DMV driving record with your online application. You must upload a copy of the driving record to the application. Please upload your driving recond under the resume tab. The resume tab can only attach one document. If you have multiple documents, please scan all documents into one and attach it once under the resume tab. This document must be submitted before the last date of filing , or you will be disqualified. No mailed or delivered driving records will be accepted. The online drivers record is not an "official document" but can be used for the initial application process. Before appointment to the position you may be asked to produce a "certified drivers record" issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
Supplemental Questionnaire: A properly completed Supplemental Questionnaire must be submitted with each application. Applications and Supplemental Questionnaires must be in the possession of the Human Resource Services Department by 5:00 p.m. on the Last Day for Filing. Applications will only be accepted on-line. Postmarks are not accepted. Failure to submit the Application or Supplemental Questionnaire will result in disqualification.
THE AGENCY
The mission of the General Services Agency (GSA) is to provide high quality, cost effective, and timely support services for County departments and other public agencies, so they can better serve the public and business community. GSA delivers a host of support services to County departments and agencies. These services fall into several major categories: Technical — architectural, engineering, energy and hazardous materials management; Building Maintenance — building maintenance and repairs, janitorial services and minor remodeling and alterations; Construction — new facilities and major remodeling; Procurement — purchasing and contract administration; Fleet Services; Childcare Planning; Human Resources, Payroll, Information Systems and Parking Administration.
Our Agency is working on many programs to make it easier for vendors to do business with the County. This GSA web-site, with its interactive capabilities and upcoming electronic procurement and commerce enhancements, is one step in that direction. Another new and exciting program is County’s Small, Local, and Emerging Business Program (SLEB) which promotes economic growth for the County community.
THE POSITION
Transportation Services Attendant report to either an Auto Mechanic Supervisor in the Motor Vehicle Division or to a Supervising Administrative Specialist in the Parking Division. Positions are located primarily within Transportation Services of the General Services Agency. This position will be assigned to the Parking Division .
IDEAL CANDIDATE

Knowledge of:

• California Vehicle Code as it applies to traffic rules and regulations.

• Make change accurately and quickly.
• Walk extensively.
• Use a digital camera.
• Operate a 2-way radio.
• Read maps and follow map directions.
THE EXAMINATION WILL CONSIST OF the following steps: 1) A review of candidates' applications to verify possession of minimum requirements. Those candidates who possess the minimum requirements for the class will move on to the next step in the examination process. 2) A review of candidates’ Supplemental Questionnaires to select the best qualified applicants to continue in the process. 3) An oral interview which will be weighted as 100% of the candidate's final examination score. The oral interview may contain situational exercises. CANDIDATES MUST ATTAIN A QUALIFYING RATING ON EACH PORTION OF THIS EXAMINATION. We reserve the right to make changes to the announced examination components.
