Failure to answer these questions truthfully may result in disqualification from the examination process.

B. You have graduated from a California POST Certified Basic Academy in excess of three years ago but you have either separated from another law enforcement office in the last three years or you have taken the POST renewal course and have a current POST certificate.

As stated on the examination bulletin, the following are special requirements: Federal law and County policy requires that certain positions in the class of Deputy Sheriff I which require a commercial driver's license and the performance of duties defined as "safety sensitive" are subject to post-offer/pre-placement/pre-duty, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, random, return-to-duty and follow-up drug and alcohol testing. A Computer Voice Stress Analyzer exam will also be included in the process to assess candidates' responses in the areas of drug use, driving history, honesty, racial discrimination, and sexual harassment. Any felony conviction will result in disqualification.
