Thank you for your interest in the position of Infrastructure Services Manager.  Your completed response to this supplemental questionnaire will be evaluated to determine your qualifications and must be completed properly in order to be given full consideration for the next phase in the selection process.  Responses should be thorough and specific, yet concise and succinct.  A lack of adequate detail in the supplemental questions and in your application may result in failure or disqualification for this recruitment.  Clarity of expression, grammar, spelling and the ability to follow instructions will be considered in the evaluation process.  A resume will not be accepted as a substitute for a thoroughly completed employment history and supplemental responses.

Describe the most complex project you have managed from planning through implementation for multiple departments and/or agencies. Describe the project, including scope, budget, timeline, and your role. How did you ensure that resources and staff were appropriately allocated and the project was delivered on time and within budget? What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The Infrastructure Services Manager acts as a liaison between their team and various user departments/agencies when issues arise. The position requires the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical customers alike. Describe a complex issue or problem you encountered between your technical staff and their non-technical customer department/agency. What was the issue? What actions did you take to resolve the issue, and what was the outcome?

Infrastructure Services Managers work with subordinate staff, other managers, and user department/agency representatives. Describe your customer service philosophy and provide an example of an innovative idea, partnership or policy you initiated which demonstrates your ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Infrastructure Managers are expected to lead and manage their teams to be high performing and cohesive.  Describe a time when you had to deal with an underperforming employee or difficult situation on your team.  What were the circumstances and what steps did you take?  What was the outcome of your efforts?
