Transportation Services Attendant positions are located primarily within Transportation Services of the General Services Agency. Incumbents report to either an Auto Mechanic Supervisor in the Motor Vehicle Division or to a Supervising Administrative Specialist in the Parking Division.

This class is distinguished from the class of Auto Service Worker in that the duties assigned to Transportation Services Attendants are neither as extensive nor as technical as those assigned to the former class. When assigned to the Motor Vehicle Division, Transportation Services Attendants may assist Auto Service Workers in performing routine automotive maintenance. While a Transportation Services Attendant may remove and replace wheels and tires on County vehicles, Auto Service Workers balance and make necessary repairs.
