DISTINGUISHING FEATURES

The Assistant Camp Directors are responsible to the Camp Directors for the full range of daily operations and coordination of casework and rehabilitative services in these minimum security facilities. The Assistant Camp Director supervises the after-care unit staff assigned to the camp.

The Assistant Camp Director differs from the Unit Supervisor, Probation, in that the approximately 35-40 personnel supervised is greater than that of the 6-8 of the Unit Supervisor. Additionally, the subordinates include first-line supervisors at the level of Camp Supervisor and Institutional Supervisor II.

The next higher level of Assistant Director, Juvenile Hall, assists in supervision of more subordinates than the Assistant Camp Directors, and is responsible for the supervision of more levels of subordinates (third level) Senior Institutional Supervisor, as well as Deputy Probation Officer (Caseworkers) and reports to a higher level administrator (Division Director).
