DISTINGUISHING FEATURES

This is a second-line supervisory classification where incumbents direct the operation of several work units. Incumbents report to a Division Director, who is responsible for a major functional division within the department. This class is distinguished from the Agency class of Program Development Manager in that Section Supervisors, Social Services Agency, direct several units of Human Services or Economic Benefits program operations whereas Program Development Managers supervise or perform agency-wide management activities (i.e., staff development, quality assurance and control, agency planning, etc.). Additionally, Program Development Managers report to the Agency Director.
